Offered up is a Vintage Land of the Giants Lunch Box. It was manufactured by Aladdin in 1968. Overall shape is nice showing age associated wear in the form of scuffs, scratching, rust, bumps, and edge wear. It was loved. Handle and Lock are both fully intact. No thermos, but pretty decent box overall considering what us kids did with em’ back in the day, clanging, banging, slovering our sticky lunches all over the place inside them. The series was set in the 1983 wherein the passenger aircraft Spindrift is dragged through a dimensional lock and crashes on a planet much like earth. However, everything is twelve times larger on the planet, including the people. Much of the series involved the crew and passengers of the Spindrift searching for supplies and a means to get back to Earth, and at the same time preventing the Giants of a means to get to Earth. Yup those were some great TV times for us Boomers and X-Gens. ….So if you remember those good ole’ days when we used to carry our lunches to school and show off our favorite Characters or TV show on our lunchboxes, this is sure to bring back some good memories whether your a Land Of The Giants, Sci-Fi or Irwin Allen fan. The condition is nice both inside and out. So whether you’re a lunchbox collector or an avid fan of the show, this might be just what you’re looking for….
