This is a barely used "reel mower" to made by America Lawn Mower Company model 1815-18. It's the true push mower, human powered. The item is used, but only a handful times. The previous owner put it in a shed and it stayed there til I found it. It's cut is 18 inches wide and the height is adjustable. These are the types of mowers used on golf courses (theirs have engines though) because if you cut regularly you can maintain a very short manicured lawn with one if these. This would be perfect for someone who lives in a townhouse or mobile home with a small area of grass to cut. Although, when kept sharp these mowers can easily take care of a small yard if a single family home, plus you'll get a good workout along the way. It's also better for the environment because it doesn't burn gasoline. When kept sharp, the spiral blade reel makes cleaner cuts in the blades I grass which prevents excess brown areas that are cause when grass is just torn instead of cleanly cut. Currently, the blades in this unit need sharpened and adjusted. It's a very easy thing to do. If purchased, I can direct you to videos and websites that will explain how to sharpen these. Or, for an additional fee, I can sharpen it for you. Must be able to meet in Albany area. Delivery possible if the price is right and prices are always negotiable.
