Charming oak wood (quarter sawn ) school teacher's desk This early-mid century desk has accumulated character and patina from years of use age-appropriate wear, scratches, scuffs and remains solid and sturdy as ever. Manufactured by Lemco. The desk has six drawers constructed of solid wood with beautifully crafted dovetail joinery.  There is one file-size drawer, four standard drawers, and one large center drawer ( has no key)perfect for writing utensils, sticky notes, paperclips, scissors and other office essentials.  The desk also has two pull-out tabletop extensions (one on each side). The top is covered in 4 coats of clear poly for protection and to keep the original vintage patina look. The body and drawers have been finished in Heirloom brand paint. It is a slate Grey color (Weathervane). The desk also has all of its original metal caps on the feet of the legs. The hardware has been replaced and matches well with this Vintage piece. This is a wonderful, timeless piece, suitable for work or home office, or anywhere you want to place it. This desk is a definite STATEMENT PIECE!
