Description
Selling a hand-wired clone of a Marshall JCM 800, 2204 circuit. If you know the classic and famous JCM 800 then you know this amp and its coveted tone. This one differs by being 20 watts instead of 50 by using 6V6s instead of EL-34 power tubes. This amp has a slightly different “feel” under the fingers than a real Marshall, not as stiff and punchy but a little more soft and compression, like a Princeton Reverb power amp married to a Marshall preamp. This amp utilizes octal preamp tubes. The 6SL7s give a richer and more three-dimensional tone than 12AX7s, all else being equal. This amp was built with all Sozo NextGen vintage mustard caps and Vishay metal film resistors used throughout the entirety of the amp, Switchcraft jacks, CTS pots, elevated tube heaters, etc. no expense was spared on components. Vintage GE power tubes and a vintage Tung-Sol VT-229 in the preamp complete this package (a big $$$ value). If it just has to say Marshall on the front then this amp is not for you, but if you're the type of person that listens with their ears and not their eyes then this amp will more than scratch that Marshall itch.
