Description
This is a magnificent Pre-WWII Chinese Blanc de Chine incense burner which measures approximately 4” long x 3” deep x 5 1/2” tall (including lid.) Handcrafted with fine details in Dehua, China. Porcelain with a white glaze. Supported on 4 heptagonal shaped feet. All four exterior sides have an attractive design. The cover, which is highly reticulated, features a fu dog as the finial. Although there are a few normal firing dots on one side of the burner, it is in very good condition. Over 70 years ago, my family used it to burn incense and there is some evidence of that in the burner’s interior. Also, due to age, some minor areas of discoloration. Overall, it is in remarkable condition with no chips, breaks, repairs etc. This is a really nice piece that is rarely available for sale. Perfect addition to any Blanc de Chine, incense burner or fine art collection. Cash only. Pickup in New Hyde Park, Nassau County, Long Island.
