The San Diego-based Stars & Stripes asked Artist Scott Kennedy to create a Watercolor of this Historic event while attending the race on board a boat called “Betsy” of this race. Scott Kennedy took advantage of this Rare opportunity to paint and capture this Historic last leg of this race. American challenger Stars & Stripes led by 1:58 seconds, as the Australian contender Kookaburra lagged behind as Painting print shows. At the leeward mark, effectively ended the challenge by Kookaburra. While on the Betsy boat Mr. Kennedy was able to observe closely the Crews and Yachts battling in this High seas Competition for the prized America’s Cup Trophy.
