Vtg Vintage ABCO Alexander Backer Buddha Chalkware Statue

The Alexander Backer Company existed from 1946 through the 1980's and this piece is an example of one of their hand painted Buddha statues. I haven't seen a similar or identical statue listed anywhere and some of their pieces can be very high in value. Made in USA. This large statue boasts a very attractive turquoise/teal and gold color. It has very intricate details, both on the base and on the Buddha itself. It sits at 17" H x 10" W x 6.5" L. The material is solid chalkware, weighing 6.6 lbs. It's condition is fair for the age, there are some visible signs of wear as shown in pictures but no cracks or repairs. The paint is vibrant and still has a lot of life. Overall it's a VERY RARE and collectible piece, as the company no longer exists and there aren't too many of their items available left, specially not this model.
