Very good condition Fender Coronado II in sunburst. All original, no breaks. Outside of this being a very clean example of a first year Coronado II, there is a bit of lore with this guitar. As marked on the back of the headstock, “special” (as well as the S in the f hole), this would have indicated that Fender sent this example to either a famous celebrity or “special” musician. Per the original owner, there is a 1% chance that this guitar was sent to the Elvis camp, as it spent its entire life in the Memphis area until I bought it. I would love to prove this to be true, but I only have the stories the original owner told me, and I would be happy to recite those to the eventual buyer. As far as specs, this guitar is what you can come to expect of a Coronado. Nice resonant body, low action, super light and easy to play. Neck is nice and straight, and you can tell this guitar was not abused. The vibrant sunburst finish is still very much in tact. Some very light buckle rash on the back of the guitar as pictured, as well as a very lighter scuffs as pictured. Not much else to mention with this one, just a very well kept and interesting example that very well could have some very cool stories to tell. Comes with what I believe to be a non original hard shell case. Willing to ship or drive a reasonable distance. Always open to offers!
