Description

6’1 x 21 1/4 x 2 5/8 - 39.5 liters EPS/LFT construction- FCS 2 fin boxes Check my profile for more boards. Great condition lightly ridden board here- perfect Summer board for people moving down from midlength and longboard shapes. One of Machado/Firewire’s best selling models of all time. Fast, forgiving, and fun. Water tight ready to surf with one tiny repair. “This board just makes me want to surf… no matter what the waves are like. If it's small and weak this board just flies. If it's over head and pumping it draws such a unique line. It makes me approach waves differently and explore new lines. From a distance, the outline pays homage to the old school fish (skio frye, steve lis) but if you pull out a tape measure you will find some subtle changes. I’ve narrowed up the swallow tip to tip to give the board i little bit more maneuverability. I also narrowed the nose a touch to give more of a speedy outline. The rocker is fairly relaxed. Low entry rocker through the front end with very little rocker out the tail. This board gets up and goes and it goes fast. The “board eat board” bottom is my favorite part of this board. I feel like it really brings this model to life. It works so well with the keel fin set up using the 2 panels on each side. The single deep concave running down the middle makes this board super speedy out of the gates. I’m really excited about sharing the new bottom contours I’ve been working on. I call it “BOARD EAT BOARD.” The original concept started years ago when i rode one of George Greenough’s edge boards. It opened my mind to a whole new dimension. I made quite a few boards with different edge designs until i finally changed my approach to this new bottom. The general idea is that you have 2 boards working in your favor. The inside outline creates the perfect opportunity to really get a flat bottom concave that runs all the way off the tail. The 2 two side panels that run down each rail give me the opportunity to change the panels from concave to flat to vee while still maintaining a deep single concave down the middle.”
