Built in Japan with top-tier craftsmanship, this kit features all-maple shells for warm, full-bodied tone and incredible dynamic range. If you know, you know—this is not your average maple kit. Details: • 100% Maple Shells (Made in Japan) • Cherry Wood color • 10/12/14/16/22 sizes • Triple-flanged hoops (pre-die-cast era for more open tone) • Yamaha YESS mounts • Excellent for its age – some cosmetic wear, sounds phenomenal This kit was Yamaha’s flagship at the time and competes easily with modern high-end kits like Gretsch USA Custom, DW Collector’s, or Tama Starclassic Maple. I would even dare say this kit is better than those $4-5k kits because they a) they don’t make them like this anymore and b) the Maple’s tone is mature
