Vintage Victorian Dresden Doll Lamp

Here is a beautiful vintage Victorian Dresden dial lamp and shade. The figurine is dressed in an elaborate ruffled gown with delicate porcelain lace details which is characteristic of the Dresden porcelain lace style. The woman appears to be holding a small purse or fan. The lamp shades elaborate layered fabric design typically made of materials like silk or satin, often adorned with pleats. The ruffled skirt and bows mimic the dress of a doll, a common feature in these decorative lamps from the early to mid 20th century. The figurine rest on a very ornate possibly ceramic or porcelain base with decorative elements and a floral motif. We believe the artist to be James Mallory.
