Hi the Amazon pics show this clear and shiny but it is not. But it is a very high quality Heavy Duty Hard Chair Mat, Can be Used on Carpet or Hard Floor BUT it is not decorative or shiny it’s very functional however. I had it under my piano bench to protect my hard wood floors and it works perfectly well. However it’s a particularly aesthetically pleasing look for a living room. It would be great under a home office chair desk. It kept my floor perfectly protected under my wheeled piano bench 35"x 47"x 1/5" $74.99 on Amazon currently
