Jackson “Belcat” High Output Humbuckers Guitar Pickup Set Zebra Coil

Price is for the set with all hardware needed for install included (springs, screws, etc) The set comes with one Jackson Belcat bridge humbucker pickup, and one Belcat neck pickup humbucker, comes with all hardware needed for complete installation. High output humbuckers they definitely got a great bite to them.. both pickups are wax potted to handle high gain like a champ and prevent any unwanted frequencies or feedback from ruining your tone. They are actually pretty good pickups for metal and rock tone especially. They sound pretty dang good to me for Jackson pickups, which I’m not usually a fan of in the past until I found these belcats. They do high gain tones very well. The neck pickup can even do a couple crispy clean tones as well, and a tiny bit of edge of breakup stuff for some occasional blues. Both pickups still have the full length of wire that they came with originally when they were installed in the guitar that I took them out of. I simply just desoldered the wire at the connection point so I did not cut any wires. Meaning there’s plenty of wire to make installing an easy stress free experience with just about any guitar model out there. They should fit just fine with a bit of wire to spare. If not for any reason the wires can always be extended by soldering together a piece of spare wire to the current wires. The wires are clearly color coded and easy to read for hot and ground. These pickups were removed from a Jackson JS32 Rhoads that I bought new just a couple months ago. So with that being said, pickups are still like new, look nearly brand new and have no scratches or dings, are still flawless all around, and have plenty of length of wire on each for installation. Easy to install very straightforward. Neck pickup has a longer wire on it to make reaching down to the electronics easy. Should be an easy peasy installation for just about any six string electric guitar model or make. However PLEASE NOTE that these are “F SPACED” meaning the magnets and pole pieces are slightly further apart from eachother than the poles typically would be on a standard pickup. F spaced pickups are designed to be best suited for use with electric guitars that are equipped with a Floyd rose system or guitars that have spring and claw style tremolos similar to Floyd roses. The width of the poles are positioned to sit right underneath each of the six strings on guitars with wider string spacing which is commonly found on guitars with a Floyd rose tremolo or guitars with any other spring and claw style of tremolos and will sound vest tone wise in those type of guitars. However these humbucker pickups can still be installed in any six string guitar even if it does not have a Floyd rose or tremolo they just won’t sound their absolute very best on other types of guitar like hardtails. So long story short either way these pickups will install, hook up, and work just fine on ANY six string electric guitar, but they will have a slightly better overall tone quality and be more dynamic when installed and used in guitars with a Floyd rose system or similar tremolos. If that matters to you but u are not sure what type of spacing you need in pickups for your guitar, just ask google if your exact model of guitar uses “F spaced” pickups or not. It will give you the answer you need. HOW THEY SOUND - honestly surprisingly good. I have never been a fan of stock pickups from Jackson in the past until I came across these Belcats. They are actually pretty good high output humbuckers that hold their own against the higher priced name brand pickups like seymour Duncans believe it or not. I was using them happily for a couple months I just got lucky and happened to find some other ones I wanted to try locally for cheap on marketplace so I got them. Otherwise I would not have changed pickups and kept using these belcats because they sound really great. They are definitely more for the heavy metal/ rock type of player. But the neck pickup can also do a couple nice clean tones and edge of breakup stuff a tiny bit. They can hang all around but excell at heavy tones with high gain. Asking 40$ for the set with hardware and i am somewhat firm on the price I feel it’s very fair for this very solid set of pickups.
