This is an antique White Family Rotary sewing machine, introduced around 1900. It's a treadle sewing machine, meaning it's powered by the user's feet pumping the treadle. Known as the White FR, it was the first rotary hook machine produced by the White Sewing Machine Company. The White Family Rotary was a popular model, eventually surpassing the company's earlier vibrating shuttle machines.
