Vintage 1986 New Bright Gold Rush Express G Scale 4 Pc Train Set with 18 Track Pieces in Excellent used condition. This set includes a fully functional working engine, a caboose and two cars. One of the cars is an open top coal hauler with a removable lid, which is where 6 C Batteries are used. The 6 C Batteries are not included. The coal hauler plugs into the engine with a built in cord and provides power to the engine. The front light works, the whistle blows, all the train noises work, and all the drive wheels on the engine turn freely. The engine has both a forward and reverse function with a side slide switch. There is only one small piece missing in this entire set, and it’s the plastic gold steps on the front left side of the engine. The steps are on the right side, but they are missing from the left. Because of all the intricate detail in this engine, the lack of steps on that side doesn’t stand out in my opinion, and isn’t very noticeable. I’m only describing it for full disclosure purposes. It doesn’t affect the overall appeal or function of the engine in any way whatsoever. I took close up pictures to help show what I’m talking about. The caboose and both train cars have all their small pieces, and seem to be fully intact. The wheels for all the cars turn freely. This set comes with 18 pieces of track. Two of the pieces have manual slide controls that allow you to stop the train, but these two pieces would sometimes cause the train to get hung up so I don’t know if they can be used. Maybe someone with more knowledge then I can figure out why and how to resolve that issue. I included them because they are supposed to be with this set. The green car has sliding doors that both work, and has a small scratch on one side. Overall these are all in really good condition. They look and sound great going around the track. The size of the cars and the detail of each piece, makes this a really attractive vintage train set. This will be packaged securely for safe delivery.
