I ONLY HAVE THE BLACK BARRELS FOR SALE AT THIS TIME. The barrels are clean inside. The exterior however shows signs of use due to the element, transportation, loading and unloading them several times. Since the blue barrels are familiar to most people I'm including them in the pictures for comparison purpose only. They both hold the same volume (55 gallons) but the black drums are hardcore, indestructible, heavier with a better tight seal. Come compare for yourself. Fantastic protection to ship good via sea containers, organize garage, store your cattle food /water, collect rain water, add a spiget etc... The barrels are stamped HDPE (High-density polyethylene). HDPE is, like BPA, a material derived from petroleum. The difference is that HDPE plastics are completely free from BPA and are therefore safe for applications that directly impact humans. Please look it up for yourself. THAT'S ALL I KNOW ABOUT THE BARRELS AND I'M NOT QUALIFIED TO ADVISE IF THEY'RE FOOD GRADE OR NOT.
