ShopSmith #505644 18" Jigsaw - Good Condition

ShopSmith #505644 18" Jigsaw, in good condition. Although this jigsaw has been in my shop for a long time, I can honestly say that it probably has fewer than 10 hours of actual use. I purchased my ShopSmith Mark V and accessory tools in the 1980’s when I was in the Navy. When I did get time to use the ShopSmith, it was primarily for home improvement projects, so the jigsaw was hardly used. Now that I’m retired, I do a lot more woodworking, making models and toys, but quickly realized that a scroll saw was more what I needed. Physically, aside from the fact that it could use a good cleaning/waxing, it’s in very good shape, with one exception. Once while using it, I over tightened one of the Allen screws on the blade guide body, and it caused a crack in the body (see picture #5, on the cylinder surrounding the right Allen screw). I used a metal epoxy to repair it, and had no further problems with it. I have the owners manual and 4 extra fine tooth blades. Serial # 31745. This item is for local pickup.
