Pair Of Late 1800 Early 1900 Antique Chairs

I’m not exactly sure of the date , bu I am positive I am the third generation to have them . But they could go back farther . My mom told me in the 90s they were very special past dorm and were appraised for 250 each . I have a set of 4 but I’m willing to part w 2 .. if I get offer that’s fair I will part with all 4 chairs . My grandfather caned these seats . It was his profession until he died . Prolly the skill to can’t seats died a little too since skilled craftsman have been replaced by modernization . So finding caned chairs in excellent condition maybe harder than you think These days . My favorite detail is the chairs corners of seat . That extra touch of blunt cut edge iso no sharp edge isa nice consideration to user . The little details of craftsmanship from the hand carved scroll work , laughed spindles rolled seat edge and blunt corners and canes seats . These chairs were not affordable common chairs for more affable income . $650 for both or make offer
