British Anchor Pottery England Antique 1900s 4 “Celebrate” Salad Plates, 8” SHIPPING IS AVAILABLE PLEASE NOTE: The first image is an artistic representation; all other photos and the video show the actual items. The front-facing surfaces present very nicely overall, with strong transfer decoration and minimal surface wear for early 20th-century semi-porcelain. Defects & imperfections – please check pictures made under the bright light & magnification: • Even, age-related glaze crazing throughout on all plates, typical for early 1900s British semi-porcelain • Two plates have hairline cracks on the back only; not visible from the front • One plate has a small chip on the rim • Light age-related staining and speckling to the glaze, consistent with age and use • Minor gilt wear consistent with handling over time Fascinating Fun Facts: • British Anchor Pottery was founded in 1884 in Staffordshire, England • “Semi porcelain” refers to a semi-vitreous ceramic body developed to be stronger and more refined than standard earthenware Dimensions: 8 in Weight: 2 lb 11 oz Love more than one item from my store?
