Description

This is a BIG Ananas lucidus variegated Lava burst ornamental pineapple. 3 gallon container. This plant prefers full sun but can tolerate some shade. The bright foliage lends an exotic flair to any landscape. In the summer, mature plants will send a flower stalk about 12-16” tall that will develop a neon pink, miniature pineapple. Please note it’s ornamental and quite insipid. I recommend treating the interesting fruit as a cut flower. Cut the stalk close to the plant as possible and put it in a vase. It will last for many weeks and makes an interesting conversation piece. Many will not believe your tiny neon pink pineapple is real.
