Set of 4 Genuine Cushman Colonial Creations No. 4-24 Vintage Maple Chairs

Cushman Colonial Creations Malden Chairs, the No. 4-24 model, made of maple wood. Pre-owned, decent condition; Minor scuffs and scratches consistent with age and use. 4 chairs available, 2 are in a little better condition than the others, but all are in perfectly functional condition and defects are only apparent from underneath the chairs; please see pics and descriptions below. All 4 chairs have the original Cushman label metal plaques affixed to the bottom of each chair. These chairs were part of the Cushman Furniture company's Colonial line, designed by Herman DeVries and produced in Vermont starting in the 1930s. The chair features a distinct, simple design with a curved seat, a backrest with a handhold cutout, and sturdy construction, characteristic of the Colonial Revival style. Cushman chairs, including this model, are known for their durability and are often sought after as vintage or antique pieces. One chair had a split that has been repaired with metal staple-like reinforcements which can be seen on the underside of the seat, please see pics. Chair is still very sturdy and split is practically unnoticeable. On another, the underside of seat has the varnished removed from sanding, but is not noticeable unless you look underneath, and the label is still intact; please see pics. The chairs are tight and do not have to be glued. The chairs were constructed using solid maple wood. All chairs maintain the original russet colored finish. If you only want one or two to add to an additional set or whatever, let me know and I may be willing to sell individually.
