$4.00 a dozen $5.00 for 18 We have a collection of many breeds of chickens. They eat layer pellets and table scraps and roam around our property daily eating bugs, grass and whatever else that they like. We spoil them with mealworms and scratch grains and on some cold mornings warm oatmeal. The eggs are fertilized as we have a couple of roosters and we do collect the eggs on a daily basis.
