Specialized Systems Incorporated Model 240 (SSI-240) in box. Incredibly rare vintage TTY/TDD device from the late 1970s and early 1980s. Very hard to find information on this device online, I have been unable to find a single one ever listed for sale. See the last photo for an advertisement I found online about this device, retailed for $595 in 1982 (about $1955 adjusted for inflation). Seemingly complete in box. Turns on, anything further is untested. Portable telecommunication device for deaf, hearing impaired and speech impaired persons. Includes: - SSI-240 device - Operating manual - Specification paperwork - Warranty paperwork - Gould NiCad battery pack from 1981 - VFK-610C1 AC adapter - Paper roll - Box I have other TTY devices for sale, check out my other listings.
