Description

According to a fellow Fox Body enthusiast, E3ZZ‑17618‑C is the updated 1983+ part that replaced D9ZZ‑17618‑C (used from 1979–82 Mustangs, and identifiable by having no yellow lettering on the cap). It fits Mustangs from 1979–1986, with the only variation being whether the vehicle came equipped with the low coolant sensor for the indicator light. It’s also compatible with 1984, 1985, and 1986 Thunderbirds (3.8 L and 5.0 L engines). I bought it years ago thinking it was for my 1985 GT, but since it lacks the fluid level sensor, I don’t need it. It’s perfect for a console‑delete Mustang.
