Description

This stunning antique (70+ Year Old!) teakwood chest with its original bill of sale is in excellent condition and includes a custom glass top. The fascinating patina of the single crack in the lid hints at its age. The crack does not go through to the inside. The lid hinges open with ease, and the top, front, and both sides feature breathtaking hand-carved designs from a master craftsman. Adorned with a scene of a sailing vessel in an oriental port on the top, with fire-breathing dragons! The front depicting another sailing ship in a unique oriental harbor, and each side with a robed man beneath a tree, this heirloom piece is a true work of art! The intricate carvings and craftsmanship evoke a story of its passage through time, making it an exquisite addition to any room and a treasured piece of history for generations to come! The chest measures approximately 37” long, 28” deep and 28” tall.
