This vintage original 1946 film stock poster for Warner Bros. cartoons in “Merrie Melodies” & “Looney Tunes” series of animated shorts from 1(contact info removed). This poster has excellent early images of Bugs Bunny, Daffy Duck, Elmer Fudd & Porky Pig. One of the reasons Warners issued a new stock poster in 1946 was because of how Bugs Bunny’s look had noticeably changed from an early 1940s version. A total of 307 shorts were produced and theatrically released in the 1940s. Original, authentic One Sheet (27" X 41") 1946 stock poster for Warner Bros. cartoons with a mid 1940s art design of its characters was in fine to very fine condition before being restored/linenbacked. A stock poster created by Warner Bros. every few years for use by theaters featuring cartoons from "Merrie Melodies” & “Looney Tunes" series. Stock posters would have a blank area within image & theaters would receive a series of paper snipes with titles of each cartoons to be pasted in. What makes this poster particularly significant is that this is one of first Warner poster with a redrawn image of Bugs Bunny, which became the image we know today. Prior to restoration, poster had stains & was missing color from fold lines. A premier restorer removed stains, cleaned, filled in fold lines & linenbacked it. Poster now looks absolutely fantastic & has a very iconic, vibrant & high contrast animation aesthetic that is absolutely captivating.
