BEAUTIFUL Vintage Ceramic Asahi Beer "Super Lucky Cat" Figurine. It is very large at 12" tall. These are very RARE as they were only available 25 years ago as promotional advertising items for Japanese Restaurants and vendors of Asahi Beer. They were never available for sale to the public. Size is 12" tall by 9" wide by 7" deep This is a Ceramic ASAHI Superdry BEER "SUPER LUCKY CAT" The Maneki Neko, also known as Welcoming Cat, Lucky Cat, Money Cat, Beckoning Cat, or Fortune Cat, is a common Japanese sculpture. It is often made of porcelain or ceramic, which is believed to bring good luck to the owner. The Sculpture depicts a Cat (traditionally a Japanese Bobtail) with an upright paw, and us usually displayed - many times at the entrance of shops, restaurants or other businesses. In the design of the sculptures: A raised right paw supposedly attracts money, while a raised left paw attracts customers.
