Description

This is a real piece of history, this American Flyer, train set was made in the early 1930's, prior to WW2. It's an O-gauge track model, it's scale is 1:64, it's green, pressed steel. It's NOT in excellent condition, it is in really GOOD condition, for its age. The engine is the most valuable piece, it was appraised for $280, because it's a model #7017, which is very sought after by collectors and enthusiasts alike. It has a light and a reverser switch, but I don't have a track or a transformer to test it. The mail car is a model #3000, also sought-after. The (2) Pullman Illini passenger cars are the final items. The Pullman Illini (Rear Car) is actually the most valuable of these two. It alone can bring a sets value to over a thousand dollars. Again this train set is NOT in excellent condition, it was my grandfather's when he was a boy. It's been in a box in his attic for over 80 years. I'm simply asking for $250 or best offer, the engine is worth more than that. This belongs in a museum or on your mantel place. If your into trains, send me an offer. Please DON'T offer less than $175..
