Vintage Poulan 306A Chainsaw

Vintage Poulan 306A Chainsaw. This saw has been stored in a climate controlled building and has been used very little. It is in incredible condition for its age. These saws were produced in the 70's and they are well built. They are made of cast metal, not plastic and they are powered by a 59 cc engine that just keeps running with very little work. 306A's are very collectable and well respected saws. Most who own these saws will tell you, it is one of the best saws ever made. The Poulan 306A is not only collectable to vintage saw enthusiasts, but also to horror movie fans. This is the same saw use by leather face in the first Texas Chainsaw Massacre movie.. They are starting to become hard to find as time passes and becoming very rare as collectors, saw buffs and movie memorabilia collectors scoop them up as they find them. They are also more of a collection piece than an actual work saw these days and placed on shelves with other collectables to be viewed, or in locked rooms out of public site until the value and rarity goes up even more, when they will then be sold for huge prices. This saw is a perfect candidate for someones saw collection even if they already have a 306A because of its almost new looking condition. As stated.. The saw has been stored for many years.. will start up if gas is poured in the carb but will nit stay running, so it will need a good cleaning or a carb kit put in it most likely because of dried up gaskets and such. . And the kits are cheap. And most likely a fresh fuel line and filter. There is no gunk or trash in the fuel tank or the carb.. they are clean.. it was stored with no gas or oil in it. Also, it need the pull string retracting spring re-wound up so the pull string will automatically rewind back. Otherwise, the saw has good blue spark fire and strong compression and will fire up and run. If you are looking for a powerful work horse that will out last even a new Stihl over the ages.. or you want a perfect must have collectors saw to add to your collection, this is that perfect saw. I want $150 cash firm as is for this particular 306A because of its incredible condition. If it does not sell in a given time, i will fix it and getting running and then relist it for around $400 .. Or I may just start my own vintage saw collection and keep it . So for those if you who know what this is.. you may want to snag it up before its too late.
