Description

Mahogany Antique hand carved Crib Late 1700's or early 1800s. Will post additional photos later. Hand Carved Mahogany Crib by cabinetmaker Charleston, SC in good condition. Would make a great conversation piece or a nice Boutique Bench Settee or repurpose the beautiful wood. A couple similar are posted on 1stDibs .com but this one appears to be older, late 1700's or early 1800's. Original Charleston Antique. Handmade craftsmanship Hinged finger locked swing down side panel, original side rails with supporting slats. Original brass casters. Please keep in mind most cribs with fold down sides were recalled for putting babies in. This would be beautiful displayed in a shop or boutique. The number 7 & 4 look to be branded into the wood in a few places. Roman numerals I, II, III, VII, X are hand carved by the pieces. Pick up is in Benson hwy 301
