Description
1985 Honda Shadow VT500 with 26,317 miles Purchased about 2 months ago as a project/summer bike. When I purchased the bike wasn’t running so did a lot of work to the bike to get to road worthy. Breaks and tires are still in great condition but recently noticed rear cylinders head gasket has started leaking oil and motorcycle sometimes boggs down when riding and giving to much throttle ( Likely needs carburetor adjustment or rebuild and new head gasket). Starter also is going bad so need to be tapped to get the bike to turn over. Letting this bike go due to not having the time and in the process of saving up to purchase a house. Would be a great project or parts bike for someone. Within the 2 months I’ve replaced Oil Break fluid CDI box ($400-$900 alone) Both ignition coils Spark plugs Battery Took apart and cleaned carburetor Turn signals and bulbs
