1970s Vintage Road Maps

Vintage Road Maps. Included are Gulf Oil Georgia and North Carolina South Carolina. Both maps are bagged. Smoke free home. If your local in Miami and want to make an appointment let us know. This is a Gulf Oil Tourgide Map (note the vintage spelling of “Tourgide”). These were given out free at Gulf gas stations from the 1930s through the 1960s. Looking at your specific map: • The design with the vertical Gulf logo and blue/orange striping was used mostly in the late 1950s to early 1960s. • The phrase “Stop at the Sign of the Orange Disc” printed at the bottom also matches Gulf’s advertising slogan from that same period (1956–1964). • The states listed (Georgia, North Carolina, South Carolina) were often grouped this way in Gulf’s regional map series during the early 1960s.
