Rare and Stunningly beautiful Early 20th Century Max Barnett Furniture Co of New Orleans, Louisiana Chippendale style genuine mahogany desk / vanity in great condition. Circa 1(contact info removed) Beautiful mahogany grain. Dovetail drawers construction with patinated original drawer pulls. Perfectly functioning Handsome piece Max Barnett was a well known furniture store in New Orleans that occupied the Art Deco building at 600 Carondelet until the 1970s.  The building was purchased in 2015 renovated into a Boutique hotel.   The info I can find on Max Barnett Furniture Co. says it started in 1899, moved shop in 1928 and went out of business around the 1970s. The furniture is great quality, heavy and impressively well built. Dimensions H: 46.5" x W: 48" x D: 21" Style: Chippendale (In the Style Of) Materials and Techniques: Mahogany,Hand-Carved, Woodwork Place of Origin: New Orleans, United States Period:Early 20th Century Date of Manufacture: circa 1920s Condition : Great.
