Description

This is unit is rock solid . It’s from San Juan Engineering, now ORCA Marine . This is model MC-306 , a single pass unit It’s oversized in comparison to similar units for same motors In today’s marketplace . You should feel real good about keeping things kool with this bad boy. The shell / body is 5 in diameter x 28 inches long . Plenty of water flow . Front mount over circ pump. It is a FUll system unit - not half . Cools block and exhaust manifolds . You can easily use it as a half system if that’s all you need . I spent some good time restoring it - although it did not need much. The boat was stored well and maintained for ywats by previous owner ( who passed away hence how I acquired the boat / parts . I first gave it a long TSP bath , then chased / honed each copper tube. Wire wheeled , Sanded and prepped shell and expansion tank. Painted 3 coats auto engine (500deg) primer and 3 coats auto engine top coats. Did the same for units’ end caps . Prepped and polished all mounting hardware . Painted radiator cap with auto engine 500 deg paint as well. Bought 2 new thermostats and zinc anode from ORCa marine . The unit is heavy , maybe 60+lbs * Although the unit is designed for a SB ford , the unit has been a exceptional cooling potential and with some creativity and craftsmanship , the unit could possibly service a big block GM motor - you will need to do your due diligence tho ! Thanks for looking , Send a txt or call if you got any questions or interest . Pick up HX in San Diego, CA Willing to work with buyer outside California - buyer pays for ship . Ty, Mark
