Rare Vintage "Mortimer Ichabod" Marker from Picture Pages 1984

"Mortimer Ichabod" is a battery operated device from the 1980's children's educational show "Picture Pages" with host, Bill Cosby! The character on the show is named Mortimer Ichabod and Bill Cosby uses Mortimer to help him teach children various educational and socially responsible lessons on the program. As Mortimer is pressed to paper to draw, a series of musical tones are emitted sounding like "doodly doodly doo". This product, distributed at the height of the show's popularity, is a replica of the one used on the show by Bill Cosby. It has an adjustable circular tip at the end where the crayon would be inserted and then tightened to secure it in place. "Picture Pages, Inc." is printed on the front at the bottom under the image of Mortimer Ichabod. It was manufactured by Kusan and the unit takes a 9V battery. A video of the piece working properly and producing the sounds can be sent to anyone who is seriously interested.
