Description
This item is a vintage porcelain tea strainer with a matching base/receptacle. This piece is designed to hold a wet tea bag or strain loose tea. It features a hand painted floral design with delicate pink roses, painted on both the perforated top strainer and the small base. The top piece allows tea to strain or a tea bag to rest while the base collects all of the drips. This tea strainer is unmarked but this type of vintage set is most likely made by companies like England's Crownford or Japan's Nippon and are sought after by collectors of vintage tea accessories and tableware. This item is in very good condition with no damage. The base has a 2.5" diameter & is 1" tall. The top strainer has a 3" diameter scalloped edge & a 1" handle. Very lovely, beautifully hand painted tea strainer set to add to a vintage collection. Available for pickup at my Anaheim home. Cross streets Kraemer and Orangethorpe. $22.
