Description

Beautiful solid oak pedestal dining table with a genuine Watertown Table Slide Co. all-wood slide system, patented between 1899 and 1912 and produced in Watertown, Wisconsin. This table was built in the early 1920s, most likely by the Wisconsin Chair Co. or Phoenix Chair Co., both known for using Watertown slides during that period. Size: 45" round (closed), extends to 72" with three 9" leaves Height: 29" without casters, 30" with casters Construction: Solid quarter-sawn oak, all-wood slide mechanism (no metal runners) Base: Square pedestal with four sturdy feet and period-correct cup casters Condition: Excellent structural integrity, slides operate smoothly, finish consistent with age This table represents the clean, geometric design typical of the transitional Arts & Crafts to early Art Deco period. It’s a timeless piece of American craftsmanship—functional, collectible, and ready for another century of use.
