These are made for comfort while riding! An adjustable panel shields your ... uh, ... lap. Open behind the knees, so you don't have a big wad of material behind your knee. The hem on the front of the legs is contoured, to cover your ankles and the top of your boot, keeping wind and water from getting into your boot laces. The chaps close with wide velcro closures, making them secure, as well as adjustable to fit a range of sizes. They are labeled "Small," but, I am a 32" waist, and they fit me nicely. They could fit someone larger in the waist, or smaller. I have pretty meaty legs (I am a middle-aged woman...), and the legs are pretty snug on me. But, a man could likely fit them easily, up to a 36" waist, or so, or maybe a bit bigger. I would say that, if your waist is much smaller than 30", they might be too loose. But, what do I know? The only tag is the size tag. I have no idea who makes them. I also don't know if they are waterproof. But, they could be made to be, for sure. They are insulated, and warm, kinda like a ski suit.
