Description
Traveling Man Treasures is selling this bronze statuette of the ancient Egyptian God Osiris. Purchased through the Berlin Museum during the Egyptian Revival Period (c. 1880s-1930s), this piece is in excellent condition and is a fine representation of Ancient Egyptian artistry. Osiris was the god of the afterlife, the underworld, and resurrection. He is typically depicted as a mummified figure, wearing the crown of Upper Egypt and a braided beard, which signifies divinity. He holds a crook and a flail, which are symbols of royal authority and kingship.
