Description

Original 1960's master mold of the ship's crest for USS Mariano G Vallejo SSBN 658. These were the molds that would be used in the foundry of sub tenders as well as Naval shipyards to make impressions in casting sand to make bronze casting for ship's plaques. Measurements are 19" by 14.5" by 3" thick. Very rare as most of these would be thrown away when the ship moved to a new home port or decommissioned. A true survivor of the Cold War and a remnant of the 41 for Freedom ballistic missile submarines.
