✨Antique British firewood, kindling, or coal scuttle box. Embossed, hammered brass overlay on a large solid wood box w/heavy, hinged lid. Classic pastoral farming scene depicting a ploughman & his horse working the fields on top & front panels, exquisite detail. I searched this piece extensively online, but lack access to any professional antiques appraisers, so one can only be so sure of an item's true providence, & I cannot say for sure whether it is truly antique, circa late 19th century, as claimed on a diff seller's listing of identical box. Regardless, it most definitely is vintage, & inarguably stunning, not to mention still retains it's original utility! Plus, what a unique piece of functional decor, right??
