2000 Squier Standard Series StageMaster

Ok. First, the facts. "Crafted in China" translates into made in Taiwan, at the Yako factory, owned by Yamaha, who builds high end electric guitars and basses here. Every piece and part of this guitar is of the best quality. Solid alder body. One piece maple neck with rosewood fretboard, no skunk stripe. (A better and more labor intensive manufacturing process) 24 medium jumbo frets, freshly polished and zero wear on a FLAT 16" radius for easy solos up and down the fretboard. Quality die cast tuners. A STEEL locking nut with steel clamps and allen bolts. A hardened steel baseplate on the licensed Floyd Rose trem, STEEL SADDLES with steel allen bolts. Not zinc or metal alloy. A solid brass sustain "Big Block". Full size 25mm pots, a brand new set of Guitar Madness Hexbucker pickups. Fresh setup to Eb with Ernie Ball Super Slinky strings (9-42) making this guitar play and sound great, and super stable tuning. Fender ceased production in Korea of the Stagemaster guitars due to QC issues, revamped the entire line upgrading every part of the guitar. This particular V2 version is the rarest of the series with the Floyd, reverse body colored headstock, and the hum single single layout..if you were to compare the quality and features of this guitar to what is currently offered by Fender (or Squier, Charvel, Jackson...) youre looking at Jackson Pro Plus series starting at well over $1000. Even the Pro series at $900 doesnt deliver. Floyd Rose Specials and Laurel fretboards with weird body woods- none of it is quality. These are not opinions. My opinion? Ive been playing guitars for decades. I have never played the logo on the headstock. These not Chinese Squier guitars are total sleepers. Not many made not many sold but from tuners to tailpiece, everything about these was built with the highest quality parts and attention to quality and detail. I see sold examples of these used from $350 to $500, but with the ding on the front (see pics) im asking $300. Not a student guitar- pro level. Gig worthy the moment you pick it up.
