I was 16 years old when my dad surprised me with a second generation Chevy Nova for my 1st car. Since then, I have owned a total of four in my lifetime. I stopped in a few days before Labor Day and met up with a salesman named Pete Fotops. He showed me around and let walk the inventory of beautiful classic cars. What I like about him was he was really knowledgeable of the current inventory and he wasn’t pushy. I couldn’t take my eyes off a first generation Chevy Camaro sitting out back by the overhead garage door with a big red bow sitting on top. I knew right there and then this was the one! Pete assisted me with the whole process. I don’t think a took a week to finalize the whole purchase. If you’re looking to take that leap of faith now or later ask for Pete. You won’t be disappointed! I feel like that cool 16 year old kid driving my 1st Chevy 42 years later!

Put $1000 down on a '91 Trans Am convertible advertised with low miles, with the understanding I'd get it back based on the pre-purchase inspection (PPI). I used an inspector they didn't recommend. The PPI revealed the odometer was non-functional, and the mileage remained static, matching the original photos they posted when they got the car. They claimed they would fix it, but I decided against the purchase due to the mileage uncertainty and other issues found during the inspection. They are refusing to refund my $1000 and I am charging it back. Avoid them! I tried repeatedly to resolve this and work with them, even considering the purchase if the odometer issue was quickly fixed and properly documented. However, after delays and no fixes, I terminated the deal. The inspection also uncovered significant mud under the car, suggesting it was being driven, and the convertible top malfunctioned. If the odometer doesn't work, why not? They purchased the car in January and still have it. Compare the photos to see for yourself. 8 Photos attached.

I just bought a vehicle from MGM that I found last week.  I have been looking for a 1991 Pontiac Firebird for years because I wanted one since I was a kid.  Found what appeared to be the perfect one at MGM.  The car looked great - only 12,000 miles - they had 99 pictures of it as well as a video where Tom did a complete walkthrough of the car (exterior, interior, and engine) as well as a test drive.  Looked great.  I called, spoke with Tom, and asked him to send me pictures of the undercarriage.  He sent me 12 pictures within just a few minutes.

Now here is where it gets interesting - the thought of buying a car sight unseen from over 1,000 miles away scared the hell out of me.  I found a company that does independent vehicle inspections.  They send a technician/mechanic to wherever you want and they will completely inspect the entire car, test drive it, and send you a detailed report.  I asked Tom if he would have a problem with this and he said absolutely no problem!  Inspector completely went through car and drove it.  I received a report that gave this car a clean bill of health.   Engine, drivetrain, suspension, a/c, electrical, tires, wheels, chassis, etc. all checked out.  Only issue inspector noticed was minor scratches that were too small to be seen in photos, which to be honest I am ok with because it’s an almost 35 year old car and my 6 year old Tacoma has the same thing.   The inspector detailed how the test drive went, and included 110 pictures of the car.  Inspector confirmed that the car was just as good as MGM said it would be.

I told Tom I’d buy the car.  I paid full price, because quite honestly I felt the price, based upon my research, was extremely fair.  Tom and I discussed financing options (if I wanted to go that route), gave me wire instructions, and within 3 hours they sent me all the documents and we did the whole thing via DocuSign.  Now, I am just eagerly awaiting word when my car will be shipped to me.  I expect that all to be wrapped up within the week.

In short, I never expected to buy an older car site unseen.  I am very happy with the whole process, and Tom was responsive, knowledgeable, and easy to work with.  Very positive experience, and I give him a 5 out of 5.  I highly recommend, and can’t wait for my Firebird to arrive.  Thanks for everything!

11/17 Update - took delivery of the car last week, everything as expected, car looked great!  Minor title delay was taken care of by Alondra and received title today.  Alondra was great in keeping me abreast of the title status.  Shout out to Tom for a seamless process and constant communication!  Now to the business of enjoying my classic car!  Couldn’t be happier!
