Description
Vintage Oahu Publishing Co. acoustic guitar from the late 1930s–1950s, built in Chicago (likely by Kay or Harmony). Classic slotted headstock, dark sunburst finish, floating bridge, and metal tailpiece. These Oahu guitars are ladder-braced and have a raw, punchy tone that blues players love — perfect for slide guitar, fingerstyle blues, and vintage Americana. This one includes a later-added pickup with volume control, making it a cool hybrid acoustic/electric setup. Features: • Oahu Publishing Co. interior stamp • Slotted classical-style headstock • Dark vintage sunburst • Floating bridge + original tailpiece • Parlor-size body • Added pickup and controls (non-original) • Great vintage blues tone Condition: Good for its age. Finish wear, scratches, and cosmetic blemishes typical of 70+ year-old guitars. Structurally solid. Pickup appears functional but untested. Plays as-is but would benefit from a setup. SOFT SHELL CASE INCLUDED.
