2005 Fender Starcaster “S1” Stratocaster (Arrowhead) w/ PRO SETUP

SUMMARY: This is the top-of-the-line Starcaster. Part of the first run of Starcasters commonly referred to as “S1.” Stamped “Used” on back of the headstock with a shortened serial number (6 digits as opposed to 9). Unlike other Starcaster Strats, this one has an HSS pickup configuration, factory 2-point tremolo with brass inserts, titanium saddles, chrome dome knobs and a composite nut. Cavities are paint-shielded and I believe it may have an alder body, based on the weight. Fully setup and ready to play. Well-made with great tuning stability, tone, sustain and playability comparable to high-end Squiers. CONDITION: Very good. All original except the brass block. A few minor scuffs and some shallow dents on back of the neck. No fret wear. See photos for detail. WORK PERFORMED: Replaced deformed pot metal tremolo block with a new brass, high-mass block. Installed neoprene string dampeners. Although the frets were not worn, I gave it a fret job to make it easy to play. Fret work includes set, level, crown, dress, mirror polish. I also performed the following work: fretboard cleaned/conditioned, pots and switch cleaned/lubed, nut filed/polished, new strings (D’Addario EXL120 9-42), complete setup (truss rod, action, intonation, pickup height). Bridge floated to Fender spec. Guitar cleaned and lightly polished. All parts/electronics tested and fully functional.
