Description
Dirty old work truck. Runs and drives. It's mostly been on my property moving things and trailers around for the past few years. New leaf spring brackets, starter, and battery in December. New drive shaft u-joint, four-wheel drive actuator, rear brakes, driver side rear brake line & wheel cylinder, master cylinder, brake proportioning valve, valve cover, distributer, and head gasket in the last 2 years. Four-wheel high and low gears work great, pulled many things out of the mud recently. This is a farm truck that I never planned on selling, so it isn't pretty. Driver side window rolls up and down but is out of its track on one bolt. Rear driver side e-brake cable was sticking so I removed it (it's hanging on the frame still) Door locks don't work (metal rod not in the gasket), door panels loose on the bottom. Rear window is missing gasket so there's a 2 mm gap, floor gets wet when it's raining but I've been keeping a heater in it to keep it from staying wet too long. Lots of rust, old cracked paint. Crack in the windshield (most visible in the second picture), blower motor going out, you need to do a little trick to get the tailgate to open. Upholstery on cab ceiling has big rip. Bad oil pressure sensor (always on max). Biggest thing is a steady oil leak that drips onto the exhaust and burns constantly. I believe the oil leak is coming from the top of the rear main seal right below the distributor, but I'm not certain. Should get fixed asap. I just took this truck to the dump the other day, about a 30 mile round trip, and the oil leak was considerably worse during and right after driving. I have always kept it topped up, but this truck hasn't been on the freeway in years because I'm afraid of the extra pressure making the leak worse or blowing the gasket completely. I recommend towing it home just in case. Blows white smoke after sitting for a while, I was worried about the head going, so I just did a chemical exhaust fume detector test on the radiator to see if exhaust is leaking into the coolant system and it came out negative. These trucks are strong and sought after these days; it needs some work, but I think 900 is fair. I'm only selling because I got laid off, so take it easy on me.
