Description
2013 528i XDrive AWD w/112k miles. It has standard wear and tear for an 11 yo car. There body is very good w/some minor pin size chips. It is a beautiful car. The interior is about at or above avg for a car its age and miles. We have had it for 3.5+ yrs and put approx 19k miles on it since we bought. I believe in full disclosure, and altho the sale is “as-is”, I’m asking well below the market values of $10,500-$14,000+ to allow for equity in the vehicle, even if there are repairs as described below. This past fall, I put nearly $7,000 in vehicle timing chain, gears and related parts, new front bearings and sway bar, full transmission service, new clock spring (controls buttons in steering wheel etc)/steering switch controls (turn signal etc) and all new fuel injectors and fuel rail. I also have brand new $1500+ headlamp and modulator at same time as my mechanic experienced a headlamp warning, but errors quit before he went to install and I did not get returned in time for refunds. The parts will come with the car w/the right offer. It can be installed (quoted $300 labor) held for future need or sold as new in box for whatever you can get for it. As described above, the car does need some repairs. My mechanic has quoted $1000 for a new engine coolant thermostat and installation of the headlight/module. The thermostat alone is approximately $500-600. If serious buyer wants repairs done in advance of a purchase, I am willing to consider paying for those with a purchase agreement. None of the issues have impacted the ability to drive the car. However, the thermostat is something I would address very soon as the heat and humidity could affect the drivability. I’m asking $7900 OBO if buyer repairs the engine thermostat. If I pay for thermostat repair and install of headlight and module, I would come in at a firm $8400, which would still leave the buyer equity in the car, using current online market value(s).
