Description

Overview: Up for sale is an incredible vivid expressionist oil painting on board depicting a forest road. I love the splashes of color and impasto, brisk technique of the painting, giving it almost the feeling of a flash of memory. Based on age of the board and painting, I'd estimate that this dates to the 1960s or so. Signed "Chase" at lower right. Framed in period green wood frame. Condition: Painting is in good overall condition. Minor horizontal crease along lower 1/4 of painting, but not really very noticeable from the front. Frame is in very good condition with minor wear. Measurements: Painting measures 16 inches high x 12 inches wide. Frame measures 18.5 inches high x 14.5 inches wide.
