The TU116 graphics chip based on the Turing GPU architecture is the heart of the GTX 1660 Super and is manufactured in a 12nm process. The shrunken manufacturing process combined with the Turing architecture allows for increased efficiency and higher clock speeds compared to Pascal. The GeForce GTX 1660 Super is equipped with 6GB of video memory with the GDDR6 specification, which clocks much higher compared to the memory on the non-Super models. The TU116 graphics chip on the EVGA GeForce GTX 1660 Super SC Ultra clocks at 1830 MHz boost clock, which automatically kicks in via GPU Boost 4.0 when the workload is appropriate. Thanks to an effective dual-fan cooler design, the turbo boost is also maintained for a long time, allowing the graphics card to deliver optimal performance. The 6 GB GDDR6 video memory, which is connected to the chipset via a 192-bit memory interface and with a memory bandwidth of 336 GB/s, clocks at 7000 MHz (effectively 14,000 MHz). The (only) 20.21 cm long graphics card is powered via an additional 8-pin PCIe connector.
