Been stored in garage, got the red light of death. Researched and is fixable just not interested in seeking out for repair. These models are pricey online. Asking $80.00 PlayStation 3 (fat models) had varying degrees of backwards compatibility with PlayStation 2 and PlayStation 1 games. Some "fat" models, like the 60GB and 20GB versions (CECHA and CECHB), were fully backwards compatible due to having the PS2's hardware included. Later "fat" models (CECHC and CECHE) had partial backwards compatibility, primarily using software emulation for some PS2 games. All PS3 models are backwards compatible with PS1 games. Slim and Super Slim models do not have hardware backwards compatibility with PS2 games; they can only play PS2 games through PS2 classics, which are software emulated.
